Third in a three-part series.

In parts 1 and 2 of this series, we discussed the important challenges and market changes impacting retailers’ ability to reduce potentially crippling out-of-stock and to improve merchandise availability. In particular, retailers need to seek out and align with partners that understand how to tie together inventory visibility and shrink management to improve shopper’s experience, in cost-efficient, operationally synergistic solutions. Innovative retailers are using RFID technology as a common fabric across many of its merchandise- centric applications to gain real-time insight into merchandise status and to take necessary steps to anticipate and reduce out-of-stocks.
