At Åhléns, excellent service is top priority. Employees are dedicated to assisting customers at the checkout counters, and few resources are earmarked towards loss prevention. To accommodate security needs, Milestone Partner Nokas designed and implemented Milestone XProtect video management software at all Åhléns stores in Sweden. In larger stores an operator provides proactive incident prevention. In smaller stores visual evidence enables easy documentation of incidents. The user friendliness of Milestone software is an advantage, as basically no training is needed for employees to use it.
Åhléns uses the open platform software to count store visitors and is planning more extensive use of video analytics. Milestone Interconnect will hook up all Åhléns stores in one security network, further boosting in-store safety.
